A castle in the heart of the Gaillac vineyards
Set in rolling wooded countryside, Château de Mayragues, a rare example surviving from the Middle Ages of the local fortified architecture, is an active, organic vineyard situated between Gaillac, Cordes and Albi, near the bastide of Castelnau de Montmiral and the large Grésigne oak forest.
Access to the two spacious, refined, guest rooms is from the covered gallery at the top of the Castel.
Château de Mayragues is the ideal starting point for country rambles, discovering local culture, history and architecture, and tasting the wines of Gaillac starting with the organic (bio-dynamic) wines of Mayragues.
